"Attendance may be down this year but the quality of the leads we've generated has been better than usual.  The companies that sent people to the NAB this year did so sparingly with the directive to conduct business and achieve results, so we've been able to spend our time talking about real projects with the actual decision makers.  In our view, this turned out to be a decent show."  That composite quote represents the consistent feedback that vendors shared with me while I walked the exhibit floor.  While the south and central halls definitely had much higher traffic than the north hall did, everyone seemed to think that the show beat their expectations and that the energy that will be expended on following-up on leads generated there will be well rewarded.
