The reasons that digital radio migration/switchover will never happen
are no different now than they were before the Digital Economy Bill
was passed into law. For the consumer, who seems increasingly
unconvinced about the merits of DAB radio, this legislation changes
nothing at all. Those reasons, as itemised in my written submission to

Sad that you are so desperate for an HD Radio mandate, since it has been such a complete failure with consumers, by using scare tactics, so try reading Grant Goddard's radio blog about digital radio in the UK. There are no reclaimtion needs in the US for the analog radio airways, as there were for the digital TV transition, so no incentive for a forced HD Radio transition. One can't force consumers to buy HD radios.
