Broadcast Electronics, Larcan Enter Partnership

Radio equipment-maker Broadcast Electronics
and TV manufacturer Larcan plan to work together.
The companies said their partnership will
provide a “complete portfolio of radio, studio automation and TV solutions for
broadcasters.”
The agreement
is designed to optimize the companies’ sales forces, provide a complete product
offering and develop new opportunities for growth, they stated.
“Giving broadcasters worldwide a one-source solution for all
their unique broadcast needs is our goal,” stated BE President/CEO Joseph W.
Roark. He made the announcement with Larcan President/CEO Steven Bell.
BE, based in Illinois, makes radio broadcast products,
including transmitters for AM, FM and HD Radio, as well as program
automation systems. It has been in business since 1959.
Larcan,
headquartered in Ontario, Canada, and with a U.S. office in Colorado, was
founded in 1951. It makes analog, digital and mobile television transmitters
for broadcast and mobile markets. Products include solid-state VHF, UHF,
high-power transmitters and low-power transmitters/translators.
