Regulatory fees are due to the FCC by the end of today, Thursday, Sept. 13.

The fees are set by station class and population served; Fees for FY2012 range from $725 for a Class A AM station serving a market of 25,000 or less people to $11,500 for the FM Class B, C, C0, C1 and C2 stations serving markets of three million or more people. To see how much you would pay, see page 19 of Attachment C.

Broadcasters must use the FCC’s electronic “fee filer” system to pay.

The commission no longer mails a reminder postcard about the fees. Those who pay late could face a 25% penalty.
