NBC Sports Radio Claims Success
NBC Sports Radio is laying out a report on the first month of activity after its launch.
The broadcaster points to more than 180 stations onboard. It also notes the addition of two stations to the format, Genesis Communications’ WHBO(AM) in Tampa and WHOO(AM) in Orlando.
Genesis Communications President Bruce Maduri believes the new format will be favorable for advertisers, saying, “The partnership with NBC and Dial Global will be a benefit to our analog and digital platforms. The flexibility to integrate exclusive local and national sports programming to our strength as an affiliate, will bring a larger audience.”
Boston’s WWZN(AM)’s GM Anthony Pepe was of the same mind, “Having the partnership with Dial Global and NBC Sports Radio has really opened up some doors with businesses and key decision makers.”
