The latest in Digital Alert Systems DASDEC II line of EAS/CAP encoders/decoders is the DASEOC, to be shown at the spring NAB Show.
DAS says of the DASEOC: “These FCC-certified and FEMA IPAWS-conformant devices represent the only fully integrated EAS/CAP equipment capable of simultaneously providing all four EAS and CAP functions: CAP message origination, EAS encoding, CAP monitoring, and EAS decoding.”
The company adds that because it is multifunctional, additional equipment beyond the DASEOC won’t be needed. “Simultaneous alert origination to both EAS and CAP servers avoids message duplication, and the single-unit, single-interface approach means emergency managers won’t need to purchase separate and disparate systems.”
DAS says that DASEOC should be compatible with third-party applications and services and operate within Web, satellite and wireless systems.
