SWE-DISH Wins Navy Contract for Satcom Terminals

SWE-DISH Satellite Systems won a contract from the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center to provide portable satcom terminals.

The contract was awarded to six other companies as well and has a total value of up to $491 million over five years for all suppliers . The SWE-DISH portion is for up to $32 million in the first year, with a potential value of up to $175 million for the base year and option years.

SWE-DISH specializes in portable and mobile satcom terminals. The contract was awarded to SWE-DISH Satellite Systems Inc., the Sterling, Va.-based business unit of the Swedish company, which is part of DataPath Inc.
