Westwood One VP Named Chair of Network Radio Research Council

01.27.2010

The Network Radio Research Council — which is made of several radio networks that use research from Arbitron — chose Paul Bronstein, vice president of research at Westwood One Radio Networks, as its chair. He'd been vice chair; he replaces Pam Foster of Crystal Media Networks.

Susan Moore, vice president/sales support services at United Stations Radio Networks, becomes vice chair.

NRRC members include American Urban Radio Networks, Citadel Media, Crystal Media Networks, Dial Global Inc., Premiere Radio Networks, United Stations Radio Networks and Westwood One Radio Networks. The group stated that in the past year it hosted "multiple" forums with Arbitron to discuss ways to improve measurement and reporting of national radio audiences. PPM has been a particular area of concern and interest.

In 2009, the Council hosted multiple forums with Arbitron Inc. to discuss numerous ways to improve the measurement and reporting of national radio audiences, with a particular concentration on the emerging PPM technology.

The group, which noted that it is now nine years old, says other research companies and industry organizations also have relationships with the council and that George Ivie, executive director/CEO of the Media Rating Council, has been an invited observer to its meetings.
