The Australian Broadcasting Corp.’s radio arm, ABC Radio, is hosting a week-long broadcast on its special events digital radio station ABC NAIDOC to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

The program, which is taking place July 2–6, showcases new Indigenous talent from around Australia, including Carly Wallace on Breakfast broadcasting from Cairns, Queensland, future stars selected from ABC Radio’s Indigenous broadcasters, students from Brisbane’s 4AAA community radio, and a desert island disc show hosted by David Page. 

“NAIDOC on digital radio gives us a great opportunity to develop our exciting new Indigenous talent on a national stage,” said James O’Brien, manager, Network Development, ABC Local Radio. “Carly Wallace, the first Indigenous graduate from Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS), is a very exciting talent we are delighted to have onboard. She is certainly a name to keep your eyes on.”
