Airtime Ships Version 2.2
|
Linux-based
“open source” automation system Airtime is now available in version 2.2, according to
developer Sourcefabric.
According to a release,
the new version has 500 improvements including stomping on known bugs.
A new live assist feature makes it possible to utilize live sources for
playout whereas previously Airtime operated from a programmed playlist. Martin
Konecny, lead developer, said users now “have much easier ways to populate shows
and can turn to a variety of live functions to make better radio.”
Airtime’s library module underwent an overhaul that should ease workflow.
Additionally, WAV, AAC and FLAC are supported.
