Alpine Electronics of America is shipping to retailers the INE-Z928HD audio/video/navigation system with an 8-inch screen.

Integration kits complement the INE-Z928HD’s 8-inch screen for a seamless factory look in the dash, Alpine says. Ten integration kits that fit a total of 20 vehicle models are available now, with more kits coming in 2013.

The kits are sold separately. Each kit is designed to match the shape, color and texture of the vehicle’s dash and comes with the necessary accessories to install the AVN unit. There’s also a universal trim bezel (KTX-UTB8) that can be used with vehicles that do not have a compatible integration kit.

The INE-Z928HD features HD Radio through the built-in HD Radio tuner; Pandora Internet audio, with control from Android, BlackBerry and iPhone smartphones; iPod and iPhone music and SiriusXM with the addition of a separate tuner. The unit plays CDs and DVDs, as well as AAC and MP3 audio formats.

The INE-Z928HD lists for $1,499.95 at Alpine retailers.
