Badger Broadcasters to Gather

The Wisconsin Broadcasters Association doesn’t act in typical Midwestern humility when it comes to assessing its Broadcasters Clinic and Upper Midwest SBE Regional Meeting. It’s a pretty good show, they’ll tell you.

Once again the WBA has pulled out all the stops for the Oct. 9–11 show in Middleton, a suburb of Madison.

The first day, Oct. 9, features radio-oriented sessions with topics ranging from how-to engineering to figuring out how social media can affect your station. Day two’s sessions are more of a crossover with sessions examining everything from microwave links to Ethernet and computer hacking attacks. The last day is filled with sessions for the TV crowd. See here for a complete agenda.

On the floor BE, BSW, BGS, Comrex, Continental Electronics, Elenos/305 Broadcast, ENCO, ERI, Full Compass, Gepco, Gorman-Redlich, Harris, Kathrein/Scala, Logitek, Nautel, RAM Systems, RCS, Sierra Automated Systems, V-Soft and WideOrbit are some of the exhibitors of most interest to a radio audience.

As if that was not enough, the WBA is offering Don Borchert Broadcasters Clinic Fellowships for broadcasters finding it financially tough to get to the show. See here for more info.

Early bird registration, a bit cheaper, ends Aug. 17. See here about that.
