ESPN Radio Sets Out World Series Schedule
|
ESPN Radio released its schedule for the Major League Baseball World Series between the Detroit Tigers and the San Francisco Giants.
All festivities begin at 7 p.m. Eastern time, Oct. 24, 25, 27 and 28 along with, if necessary, Oct. 29, 31 and Nov. 1.
Dan Shulman and Orel Hershiser will handle play-by-play while Jon Sciambi, Chris Singleton and Peter Pascarelli will handle pregame and post-game activities.
And though the World Series is the culmination of the past season, some radio stations are already looking forward to next season.
Example: WEEI(FM) in Boston, an ESPN Radio affiliate, announced a new program, starting Oct. 25, “Red Sox Hot Stove.” The 16-week program will air every Thursday, 7–8 p.m. Naturally it will focus on everything Red Sox during the “off-season.”
There’s always plenty to talk about in Red Sox Nation. Jason Wolfe, VP of programming and operations for WEEI owner Entercom Boston, stated, “There will be more Red Sox talk this off season than in any other in recent memory given the needs of the team, and this show will provide listeners with the most up to date information as it happens.”
