Jelli Launches New Ads Platform
California-based social radio platform Jelli has announced deals with radio groups Mapleton Communications and Opus Media Partners, as well as new advertising features.
“In spite of the increasingly noisy media landscape, radio continues to be one of the most powerful mediums for reaching an audience,” said Jelli CEO Mike Dougherty in a statement. “Ad tech has transformed the online advertising space, and now we are bringing this innovation to terrestrial radio, a $40 billion global market with tremendous opportunity for reinvention.”
The new ad platform, according to Jelli’s release, “enables stations to monetize unsold on-air inventory at attractive rates, providing immediate sales traction, valuable advertising ROI, and a new source of revenue to supplement local selling efforts.”
Stations can use their own ad trafficking and scheduling software and connected to the cloud-based Jelli platform through the internet. Jelli pays the stations for the ads, which it then plays on-air.
The Jelli platform is available with an “advertising only” option to complement its programming offerings.
