KUZZ to Receive NAB Crystal Heritage Award

KUZZ(FM) of Bakersfield, Calif. will be the recipient of a Crystal Heritage Award at the NAB Show in April.

The special Heritage version of the Crystal Award has only been given twice before in the 25 years of Crystal Awards.

The two previous winners are WUSL(FM) in Philadelphia (2008) and KBHP(FM) in Bemidji, Minn. (2011). The Heritage Award is given to stations that have proven a long-term commitment to public service.

KUZZ has won five previous Crystal Awards, the first in 1998.

The award will be presented at the NAB Show Radio Luncheon, April 17.
