Marketron Describes Text Success at Saga
|
Business software provider Marketron described a mobile campaign it
supported for Saga Communications.
The Saga
Collective Texting Contest was held this spring. The vendor said Saga added
178,000 members to its text club. Describing the project in the Marketron
announcement, Saga’s Steve Goldstein said the company used this program “to
create content differentiation.”
The contest gave listeners a shot at winning $1,000
twice daily for about a month; 31 stations participated.
About 3.3 million texts were received during the contest including about
1 million total “episode unique” entries, according to Marketron Mobile. Marketron is owned by the Wicks Group, which also owns NewBay Media, publisher of Radio World.
