A new book takes delves into building audio networks using audio over IP. It is authored by two familiar industry names: Steve Church and Skip Pizzi.

Church is founder and CEO of Telos Systems. Pizzi is a consultant and contributing editor for Radio World, which was not involved in the project.

"Audio Over IP: Building Pro AoIP Systems with Livewire" is published by Focal Press and will be out in October. The publisher is taking pre-orders for the 280-page book now. It retails for $59.95.

It is described as a comprehensive look at AoIP that "not only introduces readers to the technology and advantages of IP-based distribution systems, but also acts as a reference for Livewire," the IP audio distribution system developed by Church's company Axia Audio.

The September international edition of Radio World includes an excerpt.
