An FM upgrade project represented a big business opportunity for Jampro.

The manufacturer announced the installation and commissioning of FM broadcast antennas covering 350 broadcast frequencies for Mexican radio network Radiorama. Terms were not disclosed.

“The turnkey system consisted of Jampro models JCPB (broadband), JSWB (super wideband, high-power) and JMPC (medium-power) side-mounted FM antennas, rigid transmission line, patch panels and Starpoint combiners,” it reported. “On-site commissioning was performed by company technicians. Of the systems provided, only 32 single-frequency antennas were supplied. All others were either two- or three-frequency sidemounted systems, with a frequency separation of as much as 18 MHz.”

Jampro told Radio World the job involved more than 100 antenna systems.

Jampro President Alex Perchevitch said in the statement that Radiorama has been a customer for some 20 years.
