SiriusXM is adding two new seasonal programs to the satellite lineup.

From July 27–Aug. 12 SiriusXM will work with Olympic Games broadcasters Dial Global and NBC Universal to provide coverage of the games in London. Content for “Summer Games Radio” will include live reports, news and highlights. Hosts will include former Olympians Summer Sanders (Gold Medal Swimming) and Christian Laettner (Gold Medal Basketball).

Features are planned to include play-by-play of U.S. men’s basketball games along with select medal games for women’s basketball and soccer. “Summer Games Radio” will air on Sirius Channel 93 and XM Channel 209.

On the political side, “Politics Powered by Twitter” is a daily, hour-long program consisting of a digest of politically-significant Twitter feeds. Starting July 30, hosts Lee Brenner and Slade Sohmer will sift through the tweets of journalists, politicians, celebrities and others. Special guests will also be interviewed.

Sirius is setting up a special Twitter account for the show to encourage listener input and feedback. The show airs 6–7 p.m. on Channel 124, P.O.T.U.S.
