Thomson Broadcast Shows DRM-Capable AM Transmitters
Thomson Broadcast will show the S7 HP range of high-power AM radio equipment with DRM broadcast capability at IBC2013.
According to the company, this range of radio AM transmitters has been designed to withstand decades of intensive use, and provide simplicity in operation: a single button push switches the transmitter from AM to DRM mode. Designed to minimize the cost of ownership, the S7 HP range combines a high efficiency with the ability to run a large number of the same modules in parallel.
The company is also highlighting the new Wavetracker network monitoring system with a dedicated customer support portal. Wavetracker performs all state-of-the-art functions required for configuring and monitoring a Thomson Broadcast transmission network.
The Wavetracker enables the network operator to safely, freely add or remove equipment from the system via tablet or smartphone directly onsite. The system’s graphical charting interface allows the operator to check the status of the network at a glance or to access up-to-date documentation on any item of equipment in the network.
