The Wisconsin Broadcasters Association
is rolling up its sleeves and getting its hands dirty this summer in the search
for the next generation of broadcast engineers.
Along with the
annual WBA Summer Conference, June 18–21, the WBA has developed an engineering
track for the conference. And it won’t be an ordinary track but will devote
significant time to recruiting and introducing prospective engineers to the
business.
The track will
consist of four days of activity, two heavily aimed at the youngsters while a
day will be devoted to more traditional broadcast engineering technical
sessions and another day will look at IT and regulations, safety and security.
Much of the curriculum was developed by Terry Baun and will be introduced at
the WBA’s Student Seminar, on Saturday.
