Power-saving MDCL is the topic du jour for AM transmitter users. Maybe you’ve been following discussions from several leading engineers on RW’s website about the various types of algorithms.
Nautel has posted a video, shown below, with Head of Engineering Tim Hardy, demonstrating how to activate MDCL on an NX Series Transmitter. Those models come from the factory with MDCL capabilities, which can be activated through the NX Series Transmitter Advanced User Interface locally or remotely. Nautel also publishes a FAQ about the general topic: “AM Energy Savings Technology FAQ”
