Condict House Museum Receives Support

10.24.2008

The New Jersey Radio Museum told supporters about a donation that had been received by the Dover Area Historical Society.

The private donation will support renovation and improvements to a part of the Condict House to be occupied by the Radio Museum.

The New Jersey Radio Museum is working to establish a permanent display and presence in downtown Dover, N.J., covering the state's broadcast history including Marconi's NNF transmitting station, the Hindenburg broadcast at Lakehurst, the New Jersey connections to Orson Welles' 1938 "War of the Worlds" and more recent local radio history.

The organization's Web site is here.
