| Heil Launches Own Sales Efforts After TransAudio Rift |

Heil Sound has assumed its own worldwide sales distribution efforts.
“The announcement comes after the company’s distributor sent a letter to dealers telling them that they were resigning the Heil Sound line,” the manufacturer wrote.
“The decision to handle our own distribution had already been made on our end and we have been assembling a sales team which will consist of a national sales manager and independent reps,” Bob Heil stated.
“By eliminating the U.S. distributor ‘layer’ we are better able to provide the marketplace with new and exciting microphone products.” He said Heil Sound dealers were encouraged to contact their local reps or call the factory should questions arise.
Several trade publications carried a report around the same time that TransAudio Group, based in Las Vegas, would no longer distribute the line, citing “contractual infractions.” TransAudio had been the Heil distributor since early 2006.
Heil Sound products were to have been shown in the TransAudio Group booth at NAB but now Heil will not exhibit with its former distributor. The company’s Bob Heil is however expected at the show.
