| XM, EMI Settle Inno Suit |

Record label EMI and XM Satellite Radio reached a settlement with the fourth — and final — record label in a lawsuit over the XM Pioneer Inno portable music player.
The terms were not disclosed.
In May 2006, EMI, along with Warner, Universal and Sony BMG, filed the suit, contending the record and store capabilities of the Inno amounted to allowing users to cherrypick selections and essentially make illegal music downloads.
XM argued that the music stayed on the device and could not be copied to another device — unlike an illegal download.
XM previously reached settlements with the other three labels and now seems to have laid the suit to rest.
