George Enuton has died.
He worked for the FCC, retiring in 1989 after 30 years with the agency, according to DelmarvaNow.com. Broadcasters and consultants knew him for his personal warmth as well as his work processing FM applications, among other duties. Friends called him “Hawaiian George.”
Among his survivors is a daughter, Robin Rothschild, who is active in broadcast ownership. According to the newspaper, he was 72. He died in Salisbury, Md.
