Sirius Satellite Radio snagged the North American radio rights for Formula 1 racing.
Bernie Ecclestone is chief executive of Formula One Management. He made the announcement with Scott Greenstein, Sirius’ president of Entertainment and Sports.
Its coverage starts this weekend with the Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo on Sunday. Sirius will air the remainder of the 2008 calendar’s races live on its Channel 125.
Other Sirius race content includes NASCAR, shows by drivers Tony Stewart and Juan Pablo Montoya, and a channel of racing talk.
