Comic Wonder says its mission is to revive and evolve the art of joke-telling.
The online, competitive forum’s audio-based Web site lets participants add their joke performances to the site via telephone. It says it can help radio station executives increase the number of listeners, maximize the time listeners spend tuned in, increase listener-generated content on station Web sites and increase revenue-generating opportunities, at no charge.
Comic Wonder is offering a turnkey promotion package that includes a market-exclusive license and a co-branded audio joke player where listeners will find a joke of the day and can participate in a year-long contest to find the Comic Wonder of the Year.
The service will soon go live on Entercom’s Web site for WXSS(FM), “KISS FM,” in Milwaukee.
