Plan Now for Olympic Coverage

RF congestion is a headache in most major cities. But imagine pulling it off during the Olympics.

If your station or organization is planning to cover the games, you’re invited to a broadcast planning meeting of The Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.

The meeting will be held at NAB headquarters in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, June 21st at 10 a.m.

The following topics will be discussed:

  • Overview of 2002 Olympic Winter Games
  • Rights holders and non-rights holders
  • Host Broadcaster
  • Accreditation
  • Brand Protection
  • Radio Frequency Coordination
  • Q & A

The planners say Salt Lake City is the largest city to ever host the Games, and that it also has the

highest level of RF congestion. More than 10,000 press and broadcast personnel are expected in Salt Lake City in February of 2002.

To attend, send e-mail to Mario Hieb at mario.hieb@saltlake2002.com or Lou Libin at LouisLibin@aol.com.
